If we provided a page where users could request a profile and also list profiles on other wikis we could easily use that information to create profiles here. It would help make the wiki more useful. If we used CAN cards for the profiles it would be very easy.
So, what you are proposing is that users post somewhere here, asking for a profile to be made for them. And then the profile creators here use the requesters information to make it?
I think it could be done if there were a few layout templates a user could pick from, and then an area for them to put information they want on their profile. An admin could then make this profile for them using the templates, and maybe even leave the user to put the information they want in
What I'm suggesting is for users who already have a profile on another. For them it doesn't make sense to create a profile here as well as it would just be another page to maintain. If we start the profile for them then that's not so much of an issue. For users who are present on several wikis this could be quite helpful in keeping track of them all(My profile isn't very pretty but is an example of the idea).
But yeah most users should create their own profile.
At the moment we do something similar to your idea, we create information and layout templates seperately so that users can mix them however they want. The only problem with this is that we havn't created very many of these templates yet.
