on central I've read a couple of posts that point out that you need to have lots of pages before you can attract contributors. So was thinking we could create a competition for contributions. so there might be userbox awards for certain levels or an award for most contributions in a week. I was thinking we could aim for something crazy like 100 pages a week (divided out amongst us it isn't too bad). What do other people think is achievable

What kind of content would you suggest? Also, I was thinking about the wiki concept, and using this funky template to make things look cute is almost the opposite of "quick." But I don't know what works best, so I'll leave that to the experts. I forget if this wiki has one of those WikiSocial:What Is WikiSocial/WikiSocial:What Is WikiSocial Not sets of pages.

I'd be asking about the same question as Ctaylor503. What kind of content? Because right now the priority is templates and making it easier for people to join/use WikiSocial. Though a News section is a good idea. And as for this template, I'll be working to make it easier to use in the next few days. and here's what we have which is close to your "What WikiSocial is Not. We USED to have a larger section for it but we removed it. WikiSocial:Policies_and_guidelines

I was gonna start a new post like this but it looks like I already started it. I think we should start something like Collaboration of the month to attract groups of people. that way this wiki might actually get going.

I'm not going to be able to keep coming back to this wiki if there are only going to be a few of us here.

unfortunately what I think is really needed is a single group of friends who know wikitext to join and sort this place out.
