Some sort of news dimension Edit
I've recently joined Facebook to have a look around. Quite a bit of their content, as I imagine is so with other social networking sites, is sort of 'news'.
On central wikia:Forum:Promoting wikia within Wikia was followed by a question about wikia:Forum:Competition Promoting. I don't know if there is already some place for this but it occurred to me that wikiSocial might offer some sort of news thing - perhaps something like 'News from the hubs' - so that people can just look at the bits which interest them. What do you think? Philralph 08:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- yep sounds good to me, It would help get new users from lots of wikis. My only concern is that I don't want it it to seem like we're pushing Wikisocial as the solution to everything. I Think we could start it out on Central but suggest to move it to WikiSocial once theres enough interest.--Drawde83 22:51, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- how would this work with The Daily Edit? would it compete with them or could we make it a resource for the daily edit.--Drawde83 22:56, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think it would be a good idea for the Daily Edit to have a regular article on social communication throughout Wikia, Wikia meetups, etc. Thunderhead 10:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
